Commercial Pilot License – Aeroplanes (CPL/IR)

The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) extends the privileges granted to private pilot, skill-wise and knowledge wise, providing the pilot with a new right to fly for hire and therefore becoming employable by an operator.

The Instrument Flight Rating (IR) will allow the pilot to fly in bad or low visual conditions, with sole reference to his cockpit panel instruments. The pilot will be able to safely manoeuvre his aircraft and follow accurate navigation itineraries through clouds, haze, fog, smog, mist and other low visibility conditions, without ever experiencing the necessity to see the ground.

Beirut Wings’ Flight Training School holds the distinction of being the sole-authorized organization in Lebanon to conduct this Integrated Professional Pilot Course.

General requirements for the Commercial Pilot Course:

  • Age – An applicant shall be a minimum of eighteen years of age.
  • Medical Fitness – An applicant shall hold a valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate.
